Easy Customisations

The following content can be customised quickly and easily by going to Admin > My Business > Branding

Logo

For best fit, this should be at a ratio of around 4:1 eg. 800px wide by 200 px high. We recommend a logo with a transparent background.

Business Profile

In the standard proposal pdfs, and at the bottom of the proposal webpages, there is a section dedicated to your Business Profile.

To edit it, go to More Settings > Admin > My Business > Branding > Business Profile for Proposals

Use the editor to create a profile that sets you apart from the competition.

Don’t hold back! Many small business owners don’t like to sell themselves, but setting yourself apart from the crowd is important in a competitive industry like solar. You don’t have to boast, just let people know why you do a good job. Reviews are also great in this section. A quick way to set up this page with good styling is to go to your website and use screen capture to grab engaging content.

You can also upload images by selecting the Image Upload Tool (circled in green). Set the image width to 700 px if you wish to have a full width image. Resize the image by clicking on it and dragging the blue squares in the corners.

Open a proposal PDF document to check the layout of your profile content and adjust if necessary.

Use an A4 sized flyer as your Business Profile

If you already have an A4 flyer that would work well as your business profile, you can upload it here also.

To ensure the image displays well,

1. Resize the image by clicking on it and dragging the blue squares in the corners. Set the height to 1100px.
2. Center the image

Header and Footer banners

These appear at the very top and very bottom of:

• Emails
• Comparison webpage
• Proposal webpage
• Thank you / payment webpage

To edit it, go to More Settings > Admin > My Business > Branding > Business Profile for Proposals

For best fit, these should be 1250 pixels wide. Click on the image you’ve uploaded and drag the blue corners to adjust the size.

A common use of the footer is to display the logos of your industry memberships, accreditations and partnerships.

Page 1 Image on the Detailed PDF proposals

Upload an image of your team, or a great installation you’ve done. These are only applicable to the detailed proposal PDF templates. You can choose a different image for Commercial and Residential jobs if you need.

Advanced Customisations

The biggest limit is your imagination. There is a different process for the web page based proposals compared with the static PDF proposals.

 

PDF Customisations

We recommended that this is done by a web designer as the entire proposal can be fully customised with HTML and CSS. This is very powerful, allowing for highly customised proposals but can be daunting and time-consuming for those not familiar with code.

If you’d like our in-house team to help with customising proposal PDFs, please contact Support with a sample of the proposal template that you would like to customise, and notes about what you'd like changed. If the changes require significant time, we’ll provide a quote for the works.

1. Go to Settings > Admin > Templates > Proposal Templates
2. Duplicate the Library template that best matches what you want
3. GIve the new template a meaningful name
4. Make your changes - see tips below
5. Click Create

We highly recommend beginning by duplicating one of the built-in templates and then make modifications, rather than starting your own document from scratch. 

We suggest you use a purpose-built HTML-editor. For Windows, try NotePad++ and for Mac try Atom. When the HTML file is saved locally with name.html you will see the code colour to make editing easier and you can use tab key to arrange the content.

In most cases you will not change ANY of the CSS content that is inside the <style> </style> brackets. Go to the HTML content below this to start.

	Estimated bill before and after [annual_savings_chart] This chart shows the current annual electricity bill total, versus the estimated bill the customer will received with the proposed system installed. For commercial systems, these values are ex. tax.
	Benefit breakdown bar chart [benefit_breakdown] This chart shows the annual benefits from the proposed system, such as how much is saved by avoiding grid energy, earnings from solar export tariffs, and savings on demand charges (if applicable). If commercial, these values are ex. tax.
	Return on investment chart [[system_roi_chart]] The ROI chart shows an initial cash outflow for the solar system, followed by cumulative energy savings that break even at the point where the graph crosses the 0 line and continue growing, resulting in significant long-term financial gains. This chart applies to the cash purchase scenario only. Does not apply to financed purchase.
	Cents per kWh comparison - do nothing, cash or finance [energy_comparison_chart] This chart shows the levelised cost of energy in 3 scenarios: 1. Business as usual - this includes in the projected tariff escalation rate. 2. The proposed scenario if a cash purchase. 3. The proposed scenario including finance costs.
	Bill before vs bill after + finance repayments chart [pb_bill_vs_finance_chart] Monthly version: [pb_cash_finance_monthly_chart] Bill before, and new bill including finance repayments.
